6/4/11 – Since it was scorching hot with no wind and super humid….we decided to do the evening bite. Once we got on the water….I was praying for the sun to go down. I love the transition between summer daytime boaters (tubers, jetskiers, crazy drunk boaters) to night fisherman (quiet, peaceful calm)…it’s like 2 different lakes within a short period of time. Anyway,we started out fishing for panfish in the bays. I was using little plastics and this bass did not like my plastic falling onto it’s bed, after a quick flare….attack mode set it. Quick pic and right back to where it came from. We caught a lot of panfish, and saw a huge walleye, big pike and a muskie swimming around in the shallow weeds. The gills were spawning….getting all frisky with each other on the beds.
